Does anyone have experience with the new Ubuntu operating system? If so, how do you like it? I've ordered my daughter a new Dell laptop with Ubuntu. Thanks!

The Ubuntu operating system is a popular Linux Distro. It is popular among many Linux users. It looks alike like Windows Vista. If your a Windows user Ubuntu will take some getting used to and you will be limited in the type of software that is available.

You will also find links to open source software for use with Ubuntu. Most software is under the GNU license, though some programs require a shareware fee.
